Younis and the Karar rumor
Iraqi captain Younis Mahmoud replied to rumors that were circulating about him in the Iraqi media. Many news sources have been talking about an incident that occurred between Younis Mahmoud and Karar Jassim during the Asian cup quarterfinal match.
Here is what Younis had to say regarding this issue:
“ Karar is a very talented and well mannered player. Karar is my brother and there is no trouble what so ever between us. As a matter of fact, there was an incident between Karar and another Iraqi player during the match, but I cooled things down by calming down Karar. After calming Karar down, many people though that the trouble was between me and Karar.”
Karar Jassim who newly joined the Iraqi national team, is a rising talent the forced his way through the Iraqi national team due to quality talent and dribbling skills.
